Graduate Student Resources Hub

Graduate students were navigating an outdated handbook, scattered information, and inconsistent guidance from faculty advisors, making it difficult to understand program requirements, deadlines, and processes. I designed and built a centralized Graduate Student Resources Hub to create a single, reliable source of information for the department’s graduate programs. The hub uses a layered information architecture to organize resources around how students actually navigate their programs. A central home provides announcements and information relevant to all graduate students, while dedicated PhD and Master’s sections branch into program-specific requirements, forms, milestones, and resources. Beyond simply consolidating information, the hub was designed as an active resource that could evolve with the programs. Detailed explanations and FAQs clarify processes that were previously difficult to navigate, while regularly updated announcements keep students informed as requirements and opportunities change. The platform also supports program workflows directly, including processes such as qualifying-paper proposal submissions and omnibus course sign-ups. The result is more than a digital handbook. It is a centralized infrastructure for communicating, navigating, and participating in graduate study, reducing ambiguity for students while giving the department a consistent and maintainable source of truth.
